Gorgeous historical renovation. Fascinating bits of history in a beautifully appointed inn. Gorgeous immaculate kitchen to store your groceries. Beautiful gazebo, and terrace to enjoy your take out meals, coffee in the morning, wine in evening. Swing, hammocks. Lovely, interesting and helpful hosts. What a gem!
Top notch ! Michael (& Ethan ) made us feel so welcome #romantic #quaint #cozy #weekendgetaway. delicious breakfast & comfortable accommodations. Authentic New England Inn - we stayed in the carriage house (Mark Twain room). Such a nice experience. We were hard pressed to explore the Mystic area as we felt so at home there
July 25-July 27, 2018 - Our third stay at the Old Mystic Inn was superb as always. We stayed last August and returned in February. We stayed in the Louisa May Alcott room. Delightful, comfortable, cool in the summer and cozy by a gas stove in the winter. Michael is an excellent host! Definitely, his is the best breakfast in Mystic!nSteve and Beat Sharkey
This is by far the best place I've ever stayed. Ever. I highly recommend this place. I'm very picky. So this place is exceptional.
Michael is the consummate host; gracious, always smiling, and friendly. He makes the Inn feel like home. And what a cook! Breakfast was lovely, presented like a professional chef with edible flowers!nThe 1783 Inn is well kept and a masterpiece of period design, tastefully apppointed with period pieces. Our Louisa May Alcott room was again, wonderfully appointed, and the bed slept dreamy.
