Mario and his team installed a new standing seam roof on my home and we could not be more pleased by the new roof. The installation process took about 2 weeks (after factoring in rain days). Throughout the whole process, Mario and his team were courteous and professional. As with all renovation and construction projects, there were a few minor surprises and questions along the way - we were kept apprised of the situation, informed of the choices and options and given adequate time to consider options and make decisions. At the end of each day, the team took care to clean up the site every day, which was nice, especially since we were there most of the days. I would not hesitate to recommend Mario Lallier Roofing.nnThe new roof replaced an existing asphalt shingle roof. Our new standing seam metal roof looks stunning and should be extremely durable (a metal roof can last 25 - 50 years) and we think it adds significantly to the value of our home. We also like that it’s environmentally friendly - the manufacture of metal roofs produce no petroleum byproduct and at the end of its useful life, the metal can be recycled. Also, unlike asphalt roofs which absorb a lot of heat, metal roofs reflect sunlight - which means that our cooling needs should be lower in the summer.nnWhen we were searching for a contractor, we obtained five bids. Three were local contractors that came from referrals, and Mario was referred by another professional solar panel installer (I think those tend to be the best referrals). I also got a quote from a large roofing company, and that quote was significantly more expensive than the other four quotes - the initial bid turned out to be a program error, and the bid came down closer in line with the other bids, but nonetheless, I still don’t trust the bid when it’s a salesman from a large roofing company who punches in numbers into a program that completely miscalculated our roof installation square footage. I can just imagine that if we had gone with a larger roofing company and totally getting lost in their bureaucracy if there were any issues during the installation or thereafter.nnFirst and foremost, Mario only installs metal roofs. For anybody looking at a metal roof, the cost is significantly higher than an asphalt roof, and at that point, if you’re going to spend that kind of money on a roof, it’s worth some amount of money to get a contractor who has a team to get the job done correctly. All of the other contractors installed both asphalt and metal roofs and we felt that the workmanship on our installation would be better if done by metal roof specialists. While metal roofs are not cheap, an improperly installed metal roofs can be an even more expensive proposition. Second, of the prospective contractors, Mario was the most knowledgeable about metal roofs and provided the most detailed bid, which suggested to us that when we got to the installation phase, there were unlikely to be surprises in terms of cost due to an item that wasn’t included in the scope. (Some of the other bids didn’t mention snowguards in the scope initially. Snowguards, are an absolute MUST in New England.) Last, we also liked the fact that Mario installed the Englert 24 gauge metal panels with mechanically fastened seams. The other contractors bid with another metal roof manufacturer with snap lock fastenings. Make no mistake about it, a standing seam metal roof with snap lock fastening is cheaper because it is easier to install and less labor intensive, but the tradeoff is that it’s less secure and less weather tight. Thus you could take the view that the snap lock fastening is an inferior product relative to the mechanically fastened standing seam.nnWe’re thrilled with our new roof and would not hesitate to recommend Mario Lallier Roofing.
Mario and his crew installed a metal roof on our new construction home. They did a wonderful job! The roof was completed in a timely manner and they were very personable.
These guys just replaced the 30-year-old asphalt shingle roof on my house. In addition to the new metal roof, they replaced the plywood under half the roof, fixed structural damage, and repaired water damage from leaky skylights.nnIf you do some homework, you'll discover that these guys don't just install metal roofs, they know this stuff inside out. Mario and his crew roll and trim panels to length on on site and have CNC equipment for complicated sheet metal parts too.nnThe finished job looks great. They worked weekends to stay on schedule. And the site was left spotless. Thanks Mario.
This company appears to make great roof’s!nnHowever, they are rude. They’re currently working on my neighbors house across the street and have been arriving pretty early every morning all week. It is currently the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend and my whole house was just woken up because they decided this would be an appropriate time to HAMMER THE METAL SHINGLES AT 7:00 a.m. THIS MORNING!!! They have never made this much noise until now...nnWhen I went outside to ask the young man doing it to please wait until 9:00 a.m. to smash his hammer against metal over and over and over, he very rudely replied with “Some of us have to work.”nnI have absolutely no problem with them working at this hour, however, deciding that it is ok to make that much noise at 7:00 a.m. next to someone else’s home is very inconsiderate and disrespectful, let alone with how this man reacted to me asking him to stop. This is someone’s home, we sleep here, and we cherish our weekends to sleep in. This wouldn’t have been such a problem and I probably wouldn’t have written anything if they weren’t so rude, inconsiderate, and disrespectful.nnI recommend NOT working with this company, for your sanity and the sanity of your neighbors/others.
