It was what you would expect a New England Inn to be.nI stayed there for two months while moving from the midwest.nStayed there with my wife and daughter waiting for our furniture to arrive. Ideal way them to start seeing the New England Culture.
I would LOVE a tour of this place, let alone to be able to make a reservation!!! I wish they would reopen it! It's a beautiful place and is a true shame that in over 8 years or still hasn't been reopened. I sincerely WISH there was a way to get in there.

The room was very cute and clean very old New England. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is very conveniently located downtown and close to restaurants in the winter theatre and lots of other things to do in town. Not the cheapest place in town to stay but it is worth a little bit extra money to know that you're staying in a place that's clean and bug free. I also loved the cute little pub attached to the back of the hotel.
Come on. The Pedlar is a symbol of Torrington's past, not its present or its future. For the moment it's closed. It's been gutted but the developers ran out of money to do much more. It's closed. No rooms at the Inn.
