La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hartford - Bradley Airport

Great hotel! I was really grateful to find they also have an airport shuttle. I stayed here twice in about a month, and I'll be staying again for future trips to the Hartford area. Fun art on the walls too in the rooms. It looks like they updated the rooms in the last couple years as well.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had - I am still shaken up about it. We chose La Quinta because they are one of the only pet-friendly hotels in the area and we had to bring our dog with us for this trip. I was hesitant to stay there because the low price seemed too good to be true but we took a chance anyway because it was only for one night. We had to be in town for my boyfriend’s birthday party. The nightmare started when we checked in and the computer system was down. The front desk staff had to manually write down my credit card and license number. This should have been red flag #1. Red flag # 2 was that there appeared to be only 1 person working the entire hotel on Halloween. The check in line was about 10 people deep with a broken computer and an employee who said they had only been there for a week..seems like a smart decision by management to me. After that, we left our dog in the room to go to dinner before the party. When we came back to check on him, we were not able to get into our room. The key card mechanism on our door was not working after several attempts with new keys and master keys. The front desk said they called their maintenance crew and hotel manager and that someone would be there in 10 minutes. While we were waiting, we noticed several other open doors in our hallway with people inside, tv’s blasting, people smoking (in a non-smoking hotel), and talking loudly - talk about sketchy! The front desk said this is not the first time the door issue had happened. After nearly 2 hours someone showed up, I think they were a manager but nobody told us anything. They were not able to help us either and said our only option was to call the police to break down the door or smash a window. Meanwhile, my dog is whimpering inside the room and hasn’t eaten or gone to the bathroom for hours. After all of this, one of my friends came by to help and was able to get into the room within 5 minutes using a credit card. I feel really safe now! My boyfriend ended up missing his entire birthday party and everyone involved (especially my dog) was traumatized by the whole thing. The hotel promised to comp our room and moved us to another room, which was the least they could do. They really didn’t seem to care at all about any of it. What if that had been a child trapped inside? However, when we went to check out in the morning, there was no record of our experience or notes that we were offered a comp. The person working the desk took care of it but isn’t there a daily logbook for something like this?? Just went to show how little anyone cared about the ordeal. Needless to say, we will never stay at another La Quinta and don’t wish this sketchy, unsafe, horrible experience on anyone.

Clean with friendly staff. Ease of check in and out. Plenty of parking and within walking distance for food. Understanding the pandemic one would expect some changes. The entire removal of tables and chairs, not trying to provide even a package breakfast and at least a restock of their food pantry is the only negative about this Wyndham property.

What I remember of my stay here was that it was a comfortable room, well stocked and good WIFI. This being the tail end of a three-week road trip, at times I was getting tired of paying $80+ dollars with not a thing for breakfast in the morning ... but I do remember making a lot of coffee in the room the following morning. Other than that, it was an in-and-out.

Had in laws stay at this place due to a funeral that they booked their selves, Monday October 19th 2020 one of my in-laws said that the cable went out through the whole hotel, and never came back on, the lock on the door and a couple of other things, although they had a free night, and also they were guaranteed to have a weekend free if they ever back in Connecticut. Look elsewhere.
