For New Yorkers without a car, this is a nice getaway. Metro North to Fairfield Station, Lyft to the hotel.nnThis hotel is quaint and reasonably priced, very clean and Covid careful. The rooms are spacious-- vintage/retro style- not fancy but comfortable. The pool is lovely and surrounded by trees. Jennings Beach is a .5 hr. walk or 5 min. drive through a lovely historic residential neighborhood. The beach is clean and well maintained.nConveniently, across the street is a suburban shopping center. Next door is an old fashioned American diner with the usual fare, and healthy choices as well. Fairfield's downtown is sophisticated and bustling, with upscale restaurant options.nnConnecticut's virus numbers are low, so fortunately, there are affordable and conveniently located travel options during this time, when one really needs a break from the city.

This place has potential! I would try it again, just because the location is convenient and I imagine that they are really trying to be better. We stayed on the first floor. The first sticking point, was actually the carpet in our room. It was sticky and did not feel clean, you could see the foot traffic, that was a bummer. The ad listed the room as a kitchenette, but there was no microwave oven. The bathtub was not actually clean. Now for the positives, I liked the nautical themed decor. There is a pool, the grounds are decent and most of all it is walking distance to a nice beach! and Fairfield center which has a number of nice shops and stores.

I stayed with my wife and 2 daughters. The room we stayed in was comfortable. The room was not 100% clean but I think that was the case because they rushed to clean it. We booked the room weeks in advance and it happen to fall when the power outages occurred therefore more people were staying in the hotel. We all loved the pool. We were also pleased with all the restaurants and shopping establishments near the hotel. We also enjoyed the local beach which was about 6 minutes away by car. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Great price and super clean rooms. Just spend one night but was perfect and nearby my meeting for the next day. Due to covid some amenities are closed but that didn't affect service. Great Job. Front desk man friendly and inviting.

While the hotel is actually styled as an updated motel, I found that to be the only negative. I was very happy with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the location is superb. The diner right next door and walking distance to all amenities but most importantly Jennings Beach, a mere 5-8 minute walk away! It was wonderful to get b=up early and walk to the beach through the very friendly and nice neighborhood and see sunrise at the beach. I enjoyed my stay immensely, even when just lounging on the spacious and well maintained grounds and at the pool area. I will be back and I have told others about this hidden gem!
