Don’t bother shopping at REI. Employees are more concerned about making sure you wear your mask than they are focused on customer service and helping you find the outdoor merchandise you’re looking for. There are many other outdoor sporting goods stores in Kalispell who are more than happy to help you without all the mask nonsense. Support locally owned business! Fitting rooms are also closed at REI. Time to move beyond fear and get back to business and quality customer service!

I went in to begin the daunting and intimidating process of shopping for a multi-day backpack. The last pack I owned was an exterior frame, and have since borrowed packs from friends because the design has changed so much. They were all uncomfortable and just didn't fit right. I knew I would ask a lot of questions as well as have to get fitted before purchasing my own pack. And that's exactly what I did when I went into REI in Kalispell. The customer service that I received was great! The clerk was patient with me and all my questions, I went through the process of getting fitted, and then he had me walk around with weight in the bag for about 15 minutes for a couple different packs. Yes, it took time, but I know how important it is for a good fit and quality pack, and so did the clerk. Truly happy with the purchase and process it took to get the pack, and that is because the clerk knew what he was talking about and knew what it took to find the right pack.nnThe staff are truly knowledgeable about the gear that they sell. They are friendly as well as patient. I also went in to deal with a rack system for my kayak and received great customer service with their shop staff as well.

I love REI! They are pricey but the products are great. The best part is the Co-op. Just snagged a returned pair of Oboz Sawtooth II hiking shoes for $50!!

The bike service was great and really convenient. Went there yesterday to get my flat tire fixed and switched to tubeless, and they recommended all the parts I needed. The repair cost was around $22 and parts were $16. The prices were very reasonable, and the person at the bike desk explained everything to me. They didn't charge for unnecessary parts that cost a ton. I'd definitely recommend REI in Kalispell.
