Blackwell Hotel

The Blackwell Hotel was absolutely amazing! When we began planning our wedding last summer, we had no idea what 2020 would bring us. Brook and her team were absolutely amazing to work with. We ended up scaling back our wedding from over 200 guests to 35. They were supportive of our decisions and helped us plan all the little details needed to make our big day perfect. We were able to stay in Room 3 for two nights and it was beautiful. I would recommend The Blackwell Hotel to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue to get married. It's a piece of Coeur d' Alene's history with a modern twist. They took care of everything the day of our wedding, which gave us the opportunity to fully take in and enjoy our day.

Easy contact-less check in was great and we called last minute to get in which didn't seem to be a problem at all. We stayed in the carriage house room 9 which was the more modern suite and it was extremely roomy with nice amenities and a beautiful cozy bed. There was plenty of space to lay out our 2 weeks of camping gear to get organized. The main house itself is historic, old, and well maintained with art and updated furnishings. The breakfast in the morning was home made with eggs scrambled with peppers, onion and sausage on the side. My wife loved the cheese Danish and the coffee. This place is right on the main strip of cda so easy walking distance to any restaurants worth going to. Worth noting is that our host did not wear a mask while preparing food or around us, if that matters to you. Overall, we would stay again!

Blackwell hotel—historic, comfortable, friendly, beautiful, large rooms with all the amenities. Walking distance to downtown and the lake. Brie is a fantastic hostess! The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. I found the Blackwell online as it was only a little more than other big chain hotels. Our experience was way better than expected. Excellent covid mitigation with cleaning and hand washing and frequent checking of the staff. Highly recommend!!!

Loved staying at Blackwell! It was stunning and so charming! Friendly service, quiet, and lovely breakfast. Only one tiny downside was the hot tub heat wouldn’t turn up so we couldn’t go in. But the rest was amazing so I can’t even dock a point for that! 100% would recommend!

The Blackwell Hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. My wife and I stayed there one night when passing through on our vacation. We typically stay in the big name hotels, and I decided to try something new with The Blackwell and it was a great choice.nnOur hostess was super friendly and made us feel right at home from the start. Even before checking in I received a text to let me know everything I needed to know for my arrival.nnWe stayed in Room 2, which (I think) is the only room with the bathroom across the hall from our room. We knew this when we booked and were okay with it. The room was setup great with plenty of room to relax in the 2 lounge chairs.nnIt was only a short walk to all the shops and restaurants on Sherman. We just parked at the hotel and walked to everything so we didn't have to worry about parking.nnLastly, the breakfast was amazing. She made blueberry pancakes from scratch, and they were delicious. We sat outside on the patio and it was perfect. Would definitely recommend staying here, and will again next time we are in Coeur d'Alane
