El Rancho Motel-Ely is a very nice hotel it has a good bathroom, comfortable bed, clean sheets, cheap, nice people, and TV, it has decent sound proof as well. Some things they could do for the place is raising the roof, and add More decorations, also could make the room smell a bit better.

Old and tired motel with easy check in by a nice woman, cheap price, clean sheets, clean bathroom. Some curtains made by upcycling hand towels, which is sweet, although the towels were not in the best shape. Bed was fine. Room did smell like they tried to refresh a smoking room but that's Nevada, I guess. Colorful bedspreads looked new.

Are you kidding me? The owners are the most unprofessional I have ever seen. If you have a need for rest while coming up the loneliest highway in the USA, take along a sheet and blanket! Stay in the car, and enjoy the rest. Rude people who only come to our once great country to live the American dream should just stay where they came from, then the greatness of America shall return

This place looks pretty old and is of need of upgrades, but the proprietors were pleasant, and there wasn't really too much road noise since it is a small town. Ely seems to be a town whose main source of income is housing places. In the mile long or so stretch of highway that this town nestles in, there are at least 5 or 7 motels, inns, or hotels. So it is understandable that with all the competition there isn't a whole lot of money to put into repairers. But there is a nice patch of lawn with a picnic table and shade tree to set up your dinner or lunch. We traveled in a group of 13 and pulled in close to 9 PM, and for us, even though it wasn't the nicest motel some of us had stayed in, it was still a safe place to spend the night after almost 16 hours of driving.
