Holiday Inn Express Winnemucca

This Holiday Inn location is disappointing. Several spots around the carpet in the room had those metal or carpet nails sticking up outside and my wife's feet stepped on them. Very dangerous! Thats a lawsuit waiting to happen! My wife told management and the front desk and they just brushed her off. Then this morning they went out to get breakfast and there was no more hot breakfast even though it was still time but they say its first come first serve because they make only limited number of hot breakfasts. Well it would be nice to tell you customers that when they check in! Again the staff just brushed our complain off and even the manager brushed my wife off. I have never experienced this kind of service or lack of attention to customers complaints or concerns at any other Holiday Inn hotel anywhere else ONLY in Winnemucca, Nevada. Maybe its the regional location, but I will not spend another $160 per night at this Holiday Inn in Winnemucca. Poor service and very much lack of customer empathy. I hope they stay in business long because this experiences do not have very many return customers, and we travel a lot during the year.

We got caught in a storm and had to find a hotel fast, we navigated to the closest hotel and this one was by far one of the best experiences we had with hotels. The front desk was very nice and helped us get a room. The room was nice and spacious. The bathroom was very clean, the shower had really good water pressure. The beds were very soft and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was amazing we had a lot of options. Overall this hotel was very good, would recommend to anyone looking for a good comfortable hotel.

Disappointed as usual for a Holiday Inn. I'm honestly not sure why I stay at them anymore. The bathroom caulking was thick & really needed some care; the bathroom floor grout was super dirty in the middle of the room; and there was a poor patch job on the bathroom ceiling that clearly needed some sanding & paint. The light fixtures next to the bed had broken switches & graffiti carved into the base. The room appeared to have not been renovated since the 70s. This really has to be my last Holiday Inn stay... they have become sub par. It's worth it to go elsewhere for better quality even if it cost more. I don't recommend this hotel.

I will say I have been in worse, which is the only reason I give it a second star. Clearly they don’t care about cleanliness. There was dirt in the corners and edges of all the rooms and the halls, and having a one year old who crawls on the floor, this was upsetting. He also found trash from people who stayed in that room previously. The toilet paper holder was broken, but set up like it worked so when I went to pull it the whole roll fell on the floor into a puddle behind the toilet, and that was immediately after we got there. Who know where the puddle came from. We used the pool and immediately after getting out my family and my sister-in-law had rashes from the amount of chlorine. When my sister-in-law asked the front desk about it she was told that the levels were off all day yesterday. Why not put a sign up and close the pool until it is fixed? Breakfast was a joke. I know COVID makes it hard, but the green bananas and stale bagels are not what I had in mind when they said they offer “free breakfast.” Speaking of COVID, customers are expected to wear masks in any common area, but the maintenance crew there wasn’t and there were probably eight of them walking around the halls as we were trying to get ready to go. Overall, I was not impressed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I have no idea were these people were staying that wrote good reviews I stayed Friday 11-13-20 in room 306. It smelled of mold like nothing i have ever smelled. And im a service plumber. It was so bad that we did not sleep well and killed me and my step daughters allergies. I told the front desk and the response was "Ok" I went to the breakfast area and we found 1 bag left and it had a green banana and a broken breakfast bar. The kid at breakfast area said they ran out.
