What I like most about George's is when you bring your bike in a mechanic comes out and does a free inspection on it. They tell you exactly what you need and how much it will be. If they run into an issue they didn't notice at check-in, they call you for approval BEFORE they do the work. Very professional shop with great staff! Especially the service manager, Brian.
You are violating the mask mandate by not honoring medical exemptions. Your actions yesterday were morally despicable.nnI made every possible concession, offering to carefully maintain 6 foot distancing in your practically empty, spacious store. Instead of working with me in an empathetic way, you threatened me, bullied me, and incorrectly pretended like you have the mandate on your side.nnI want you to consider how you came to this as humans, bullying and discriminating against a woman with a health condition. Would you have done this a year ago? Would you treat your wife or daughter like you treated me?nnI didn’t come to your store to make a point. I came because I needed some things for my bike. I was having a beautiful day, and the treatment I received left me shaking and crying.
We’ve bought two bikes and numerous accessories at George’s. They are always courteous, well-priced and knowledgeable. A great local company!
Lara Sparhawk provides outstanding custom bike-fit service at George's. Cycles on Front Street in Boise. She met my need to have a custom fit to set my outdoor bike up on an indoor trainer for joint-replacement rehab - not the usual type of fitting generally associated with bike shops where the focus is on outdoor riding or racing. Lara was experienced, patient, detail-oriented, and highly skilled at using the equipment. She designed a fit that met my intended purpose. The cost of the service was very reasonable given the importance of getting a proper fit to maximize effective rehabilitation. Her ability to meet the variety of needs of George's customers is very appreciated.
