Nice older hotel. Friendly staff. Weird carpeting, but the rooms are clean and the beds reasonably comfortable. Nice pool area, and a small but serviceable workout room. 2 nice restaurants on site.
Had to get a hotel because my dad was flown to St Joseph's hospital. Great COVID protocols to keep me safe. Staff was super helpful and kind when I had to extend my stay. Beds were super comfortable and I was able to fall right asleep after a long day at the hospital. I'd come back here again anytime. Thank you!
Poor communication. I reserved a room for my daughter and her mother. I gave a card on file to ensure there wasn’t any issues before their arrival. The customer service rep said they would be all set for getting in the their room. Day of check in they went to check in and were told they couldn’t as the card physically had to be there. This was not told to me when making reservations. So check in was delayed by an hour. This was a birthday gift for my daughter. The front desk was very rude to my wife as she brought the credit card. Front desk was very rude to my daughter and her mother as well. I will definitely not reserve a room here again. I do not like leaving bad reviews but all of us had a bad taste in our mouth over this experience.
Little bit dated but a cool place and has plenty of businesses around it. No house keeping for 4 or 5 days on accounta that infernal corona bug we had sprung on us by unsavory type people. And now being used for political agendas and the like. Oops!
The lobby of the hotel was lovely and the girl at the front desk was decently friendly, but when we went to enter the hotel from the entrance on the side of the building, trash was overflowing from the bins in the doorway and all over the floor for hours. When we got to our room, there was an immediate overwhelming musty/body odor like smell that never went away. The light switches were visibly dirty and the carpets were stained. I understand that we had to be moved into this “pet friendly” room and that maybe these rooms come with the expected wear and tear of pets, but it felt hard to be comfortable in a room that didn’t feel or smell clean at all.nnWe also had no hand soap in the room, and when we asked the front desk for some we were told there was none to be found in the entire hotel. Not great in general, especially not great in a pandemic.
