We stayed in the Columbine Lodge (no pets allowed) and the room was quite spacious although the bathroom is tiny. There’s an AC unit and ceiling fan which kept the room cool. Parking is first come first serve street parking. You can walk straight onto the Flatirons trails. The dining hall is less than 5 minute walk and the park is there as well for a nice picnic. The bed was comfy but our “king” was 2 twins pushed together so there was a gap in the middle. Don’t stay in room 2 in Columbine Lodge. We could barely get any sleep with the person above us constantly banging around all night. I believe the person lives there since it looked like an apartment up there. It’s an old building so things creak and walls are thin. I would not stay at Columbine Lodge again although the price is reasonable for what you get.

We had a fantastic wknd at the cottages. We were supposed to be getting married on the Chautauqua green on Saturday and had to postpone due to Covid. We decided to still stay on the grounds with family and so glad we did. We plan on coming back a few times a year we had so much fun! Only complaint is the folks that live there are pretty grumpy to visitors. They need to chill out! But it won’t stop us from coming back.

Came here with my husband for our anniversary and felt harassed by management the entire weekend. Unpacking the car and immediately had staff calling us about complaints we were not wearing masks . More calls from staff 2 hours later about no masks while we ate dinner outside. This while the neighborhood is filled with hikers and residents not wearing masks. Music during the day? More calls from the staff advising of 8am-11pm quiet hours. This was at 11am. Calls became in person visits from management. Grumpy old neighbors sat on stoop instigating issues all weekend. Super disappointed that the management values the residents in this community more than their own guests.
