I recently received my custom Vader Exogrid and in over 35 years of riding have never been more impressed with a bicycle. Responsive, compliant, beautiful finishes, etc. If the devil is in the details then this team is as devilish as they come. Looking forward to many, many miles on this amazing machine.

I have had 4 custom bikes in my riding career. I must say I was totally happy with the attention I received from Dean Bikes during the process, every step of the way. I was kept abreast of each detail, what and why in the building of the frame and total bike. It was an amazing experience and I will do this again when I decide on a different bike. John and Ari are honest, thorough, and great guys to work with. I was actually sorry when the bike was finished because I loved the process so much. They delivered the goods 2 weeks ahead of schedule. The bike itself, is a work of art and bike show worthy. I had them do a single speed cross bike with disc wheels and gates belt drive. No markings on the frame other than a beautiful mixed metal DEAN badge. I didn't want to get it dirty BUT, that's what it was built to do.nNot aware of others experience but mine was awesome. Wanting to set off on solo tours like I did back in the 80's, a trial run on my carbon bike didn't show promise - the cantilevered saddle bag flopped side-to-side every time I stood on the pedals. Realizing that I needed a metal frame on which a rear rack could mount, and one about the same weight as the carbon, I looked into Ti alloy and eventually came upon Dean. Wound up ordering an El Diente road frame.nThe fit resulting from their in-person measurements is spot on.nThey got me a good price on a carbon fork, too.nAnd, for about $1,100 less than my high-end carbon frame, I even got custom rack mounts and a brazed-on pump peg to cleanly tote the 'ol Zefal below the top tube.nI've got close to 1,000 miles on the build to date, and it rides like it wants to go explore the Cascades of Oregon and New England's Green and White mountains...
