We got here and paid for a room literally an hour and a half ago. Only to find out the bed frame way broke and caved in to the floor, there were no towels put into the room, and most everywhere you look are dirty surfaces that have clearly not been cleaned in a while. Nice people tho.

I looked up the cheapest motel in Trinidad and it said downtown motel was cheapest at $62. I went there but couldn't find office or any sign that showed where to book a room. I was going to ask a maid when another customer asked if I was looking for office and said manager was in room 6. I knocked but nobody answered the door. I finally did talk to a lady who said I had to come back after 3 unless I wanted to pay $25 extra for early check in. So I came back around 4 and the guy walked up to my car and asked me if I was the lady with five dogs. Add my emotional support animal but what did he think I had the other 4 dogs in the trunk? He said it would be $10 fee for each dog I said do you get it back he said no. He also said it would be $75 for room that it was under new ownership. I asked y'all even have a ice machine and Demeter something behind him said no we're sorry we're remodeling right now. I told them this isn't even worth $62. There's no office there's no ice machine and he's wanting to charge me a fee for my dog that I'm not going to get back. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when the lady with five dogs showed up!

DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES. Looks nothing like them. Rooms are completely bare just a bed, 2 chairs, mini fridge, microwave and a small tv. All windows are painted over so no natural like, feels like sleeping in a cramped box with nothing to look at not even a picture on the wall. Book online or they will over charge if you plan on staying. Toilet was broken first thing, no fitted sheet on the bed, window ac unit too small and old for summer heat. And also had a list of things to fix written in pencil on the door such as fumigate, fix plumbing and much more. Staff was friendly and helpful to a degree only reason it's not a 1 star review. Went to bed and building was light blue woke up and left at 11am and it was green all of a sudden. So much lost potential here especially with having the location they have. Too bad done right could feel and look like a piece of Trinidad history but no

I booked a room and no one was there when I showed up, and no one answered when I called. They effectively left me stranded. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for travelers. Seems like lots of its tenants may have been long-term. It’s a shame because it’s in a good location and could be a decent motel if it was cleaned up.
