Super 8 by Wyndham Florence Canon City A

Well I am a little undecided about this place, I feel like it was a little over advertised, but here are the things I liked, beds were comfortable, shower had good water pressure, towels were soft, and no problem with hot water. very roomy. On the downside, only could watch one channel on TV, a/c wasn't working properly, and the in room coffee was not the best. Anyway, I wish there was more I could say, but then again, I have said a lot already.

It's a Super 8.nThe room in Florence is fine, clean, and as quiet as a motel can be (meaning I hear doors slam and elephants on parade above us.)nWi-Fi is strong, huge plus. We travel with a Roku and having Wi-Fi is a necessity for us. :)nThe AC is loud and rattling. Kept me up the better part of the night.nIt kept a roof over my head.

Couldn't ask for nicer people! Beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Shower and faucet have great pressure. Hot water available quickly. Microwave and mini fridge with freezer outs in the room, as well as a coffee pot. A/C couldn't cool the room enough, and would shut off for extended periods, making it difficult to sleep with no air circulation. The window opens, but you get a lot of traffic noise. There is no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, make sure you request a first floor room.

Great comfortable beds! Very clean. Brightly lit parking and halls. Strong marijuana smell in hall both nights regardless of the policy. Staff responded quickly but smell stayed until the next morning the worst night. Couldn't smell it in room though. I would definitely stay there again.

We constantly stay at Wyndham properties. Never had a problem. This is the worst super 8 EVER!! If they have the room available an hour before the room is available they will charge you $25.00 to check in early. We gladly declined and spent well over that amount at the amazing brewery in florence off of front street. When they would finally let us check in, we did and I asked about let check out . Normally at super 8 or Wyndham properties they have no problem with late check out but here they didn't even check. The front desk person told me that the cost is even more then the early check in price. I have never been charged an early check in or a late check out price. Usually they will say that they are booked up and that they can not accommodate me, which is acceptable. I will never stay here again. The rooms are not clean and I am sure we could have stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast here in town with a more friendly, welcoming front desk staff. I am extremely appalled by the lack of customer service at this hotel. We just stayed at super 8 in Colorado springs and while it was not the best hotel we have ever stayed at, they were always at the front desk, had no problem accommodating us. We are very simple people Nd do not require much. I think that is the worst part. Hopefully they will get better help and appreciate the buisness they do get in the future.
