Very basic but quaint hotel. It meets all the basic necessities. It's clean, safe, and reasonably priced. But the location is really what makes this place stand out. You are less than a five minute walk from tons of places to eat and drink. You are a five minute walk from the Royal Gorge train.nnThe front desk is friendly and accommodated an early check-in. The breakfast is also great.nnWhen we return to Cañon City, we will definitely stay here again.nnThere is also a cute little creek that had ducks in it!!
The room was spotless, had a very nice view. The staff was so helpful and kind. It was nice to actually have a true continental breakfast. It’s close to everything. I was skeptical about staying in a “motel” but this place surpassed our expectations. I highly recommend.
You cannot beat the price for this conveniently located, very quaint, cozy motel. Room was very clean. Bed was comfy. Water was hot. Staff was friendly. Check in was a breeze. In the age of covid - breakfast was still provided with lots of options. Train tracks are nearby and our room was near the main road but do not let this deter you. We were not bothered at all by any noise. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to Canon City and Royal Gorge.
I'm currently staying here now. The owner is super sweet and the rooms are extremely clean and tidy and they even serve breakfast from 6:30-9:30. The view is gorgeous and I feel at home here.
I had read reviews about this place and they were mostly great. A few of the reviews mentioned that the owners contribute to how good the experience is and I can vouche for that. Never got their names but you will see them because they are very involved in making sure your stay is a pleasant one. You don't see that at the major chains. We will absolutely be back next time we are in the area.
