TownePlace Suites by Marriott Denver Southeast

Very comfortable stay here, the suite had desk and full kitchen. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was very clean. The soap dispensers in the shower were low or out. Easy to get to your room via elevator or stairs. Breakfast baggies in the AM. Parking is very easy for larger vehicles, pull through lot. Area is a little sketchy.

Room had an awful smell to it from the time we walked in, to the time we left, smelt like mildew. (Even bought air fresheners and opened windows, nothing helped.) Our room wasn’t put together when we walked in, all cabinets were open, the sofa beds cushions were on the floor, pillows on bed were not in place. A sacked breakfast was just sad. Even throughout the pandemic I’ve never been to a hotel with a sacked breakfast. I had called 4 times (5hours) before getting more towels, just trying to be patient. Was told, “sorry I got busy and forgot.” Still never received them till that evening. This place is honestly a disgrace to the Marriott name. Did not meet the expectations I had. Will not return, nor recommend.

Oriana is a rockstar! She gave us all the best places to try while in Denver. Her customer service is top-notch. Our bed is comfortable. The room is up-to-date and modern.

By far the worst hotel experience I've had. Not safe with people consuming drugs and alcohol on the property and in the stairwells. What's disappointing is this hotel didn't even come close to the standards you expect from anything related to Marriott.nnThe only reason why I gave this hotel 2 stars and not one is because I was refunded the first night of my 2 night stay.nnBreakfast: It's just a bagged breakfast which is whatever due to the current covid situation.nnSafety: I did not feel safe at this hotel. Both nights I was there, a white van would pull up and a horde people would be out in the parking doing drugs. The parking lot and hallways smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and weed. I had to walk through a stairwell of non-hotel guests who figured the hotel would be a great place to drink since the doors to the hotel wasn't always closed and locked.nnPoor maintenance: Fast food trash was all over the parking lot. Doors and windows weren't in great shape. Some of the windows in my hotel room had broken screens.nnTo cool off our hotel room, we had to rely on a tiny AC unit since the central air didn't work. The front desk said they couldn't switch our rooms since they were completely booked out.nnThe main light in one of the bedrooms didn't even work.nnThe employees were not the easiest to deal with.nnI would never recommend this hotel location to anyone. This hotel doesn't uphold the standards I hold synonymous with the Marriott brand. Marriott really needs to completely overhaul this place.
