I would stay far away as possible. The additional fees that they had each month are ridiculous making your rent roughly 200 dollars more. Heaters don't work in bedroom, 70% of the time we can't get hot water, plan on your vehicle to get towed and it costing you $260 I don't think it's the apartment managers themselves that report your vehicle I think it's the private towing companies contract that they have. Apartment managers clearly don't care that their tenants are unhappy. I'm glad we just gave our notice.
Looks can be deceiving. I moved to Colorado from out of state and had to make a quick decision. Slipstream, which is now Urban Phenix, seemed really inviting and easy to work with. Not much asked of me, and they got me signed up on a lease pretty quickly. The building I currently live in is 1001 S Dahlia St and is referred to as The Phenix at Infinity Park.nAs a starter, the new style brought to the apartments gives off a great initial appearance, however after getting settled into the apartment I began noticing how cheaply everything was installed. The floors in the living room and kitchen are uneven, with dips that sit 2 inches lower than other areas of the floor. The cabinets in the kitchen can really show how un-level the floors are since there are inch gaps under some of them. Most of the base molding was installed without consideration and it comes up short by inches in some areas.nNext, the outdoor area is poorly maintained. On entrance into the building there is a narrow hallway. This hallway is usually coated with dog (or possibly human) urine. There has been multiple occasions where dog feces could be found in this hallway or other common areas. It usually stays there until enough people walk over it or there is a heavy enough rain to wash it away.nThe laundry rooms are scarcely maintained. The floors are filthy, and at points I have been so disgusted after accidentally dropping pieces of laundry on the floor that I ended up throwing the clothes away. There are only 10 washer and dryer combinations for all the residents in the building, however on many occasions half of the washers will be clogged and out of order.nThere are a lot of people in the community that are great, and a few nice families even. On the majority most of the people in the buildings seem to be in their twenties and do a good deal of drinking and drugs. After most weekends the trash cans are overflowing with empty cans which in turn leads to trash rolling around common areas. Many nights I can smell marijuana burning in nearby apartments. I would not want my child exposed to that. With the amounts of drinking and drugs, there are a lot of questionable activities going on. On 2 different occasions a person has tried to jump from the 3rd floor into the pool. On the second occasion this happened in front of an entire crowd, families and children had to witness the tragedy. The person who tried jumping was severely injured, and I have heard (rumors) that he had actually died in the hospital. Either way it was a terrible scene to witness. There was a lot of blood and the police were involved at the apartment complex for the next few hours. On behalf of property management, they did try to install safety barriers (after the first jumper) to keep people from jumping.nFinally now that I've spent enough time in this community, I've really grown to dislike too many things about it. I've tried to work with property management to come to an agreement about breaking my lease, but I've been informed that there is no way for me to do so with out paying the 2 month re-letting fee. I've offered to do things such as refer other interested parties to take over the remaining months of my lease, but they are completely unwilling to help me in anyway possible. I can't say this is a business relationship with them anymore, now I'm being legally bullied into staying in this community. I don't feel comfortable anymore in my own home, don't feel safe at times, and I don't fit in with the community. It is a stress for me to live here, and I don't know how I can live here for 9 more months. It is even more stressful knowing that I would have to come up with $2600.00 just to leave this environment.
Even listening to their incoming calls voicemail is off putting. Matt F leaves a lot to be desired in terms of customer service and phone ettiquette. Feels like some frat dudes running daddy's company. They probably appeal to the arogant cherry creek crowd but Im glad not to be under their management anymore. They will provide you with a roof, some walls, and some carpet, but I woiuld look elsewhere for service that FEELS authentic.
