Gorgeous, rustic, wooded reception center. Private, secluded, shaded. Tall trees, ivy. Paths lined with lights. Hosts are friendly, attentive, wonderful to work with. This venue is a hidden treasure of Cedar City. Our family made memories there to last a lifetime. I love it's rustic simplicity surrounded by nature. A+++++!!!!!!

I got married almost 5 months ago at the Willow Glen, and it has taken me that long to finally decide to write a review. I decided I didn't want anyone else to have the same experience I did. The venue is beautiful, the flowers are amazing, and it is in a great location. But when I look back on my wedding day, I should remember how happy I was and how joyous the day was, not how angry, disappointed, and dissatisfied I was with the venue. With that being said, when we first met with the owner, she was very pleasant and accommodating. However, that soon changed after we paid her. She claimed they would take care of the timeline, they would ensure things ran smoothly, and would be there the day of to help out to make sure I enjoyed my day. On the brochure they even claim there is a day-of coordinator to help out. This was not the case. I was basically my own day-of coordinator. I was the one that had to make sure things went smoothly, the different events were happening on time, and I had to tell my friends and family when and where everything was happening, all while trying to enjoy my day. They did not help things run smoothly, and didn't even help to move things along. When I wanted to purchase 2 extra hours to set up and be able to have a longer reception, she would only let me have one hour because I "wouldn't need it and would be too tired anyway." The extra 2 hours would have been fantastic. I don't care if I'm too tired, because this was my wedding. But we weren't allowed to have it. At the rehearsal, the owner was very demeaning and yelled at my groomsmen to put away their phones and that "they could survive an hour without them." They weren't even on their phones. We weren't even going to practice with music until I brought it up myself. We weren't told in what order to do the vows, or even practice what the officiant was going to say, so the day of the wedding, our officiant ended up forgetting to exchange rings. As soon as an hour had passed at the rehearsal, we were pushed (literally) out of the venue and told we had to leave. I was trying to figure out how to connect my music for the reception and was told we had to leave before I had it figured out. For the music, we were told that all we needed was a small speaker because the venue had "great accoustics." Long story short, a small speaker was not enough. We ended up with 3 speakers in all and the music was still too quiet. We were not offered any help from them on how to remedy the issue, in the middle of my reception. Once it had gone on for at least an hour and a half, one of my groomsmen finally had to fix the music himself and finally got it louder, with no help or suggestions from them. We were told there was nothing the Willow Glen could do about it. We were also told there would be a microphone for speeches. This microphone was so quiet, we could barely here anyone talking. The venue did not have "great acoustics" like we were told. Before the ceremony, when I was in the bride's room getting ready, one of the "coordinators" came in and asked if there was anyone who I did not want to come in. I told her my whole family was welcome. I didn't care who came in. I later found out that the owner blocked my aunt and my grandma from coming into the room to see me. She had told them that I did not want to see them and that no one was allowed in the room. After the ceremony, the guests were told to take their chairs from the ceremony up the hill to the reception. I was not made aware of this beforehand. It wasn't until my mother in law let me know the night before the wedding that the guests had to take their own chairs. I just thought this was tacky and unprofessional, so we had a couple of family members gather the chairs for us, so that our guests, especially the older ones in attendance, didnt have to do it themselves. All in all, I was not happy with them and would not recommend them for a wedding. They made promises to us that they did not want to keep.

Gorgeous. Sadly no pictures to post right now. Everyone should think of Willow Glen for big gatherings. Over the years I've been here for weddings and anniversaries. It's completely amazing. At a wedding this Summer, we all got to see a turkey vulture who is a resident in one of thier trees! So beautiful and peaceful. 10 stars.
