It's about a mile outside of town, so you'll have to drive to get to the restaurants. Good price and clean. All they had out for breakfast was coffee. Decent wifi. I was able to Zoom, but that could be a function of the number of guests. Watch your step when you leave the lobby out the front door. There's a weird level change. I stumbled a couple of times until I reminded myself.
Great staff, clean, good location for a less expensive hotel with 1hr 40 min drive to North Rim. Lots of deer and elk on the drive. Only disappointment was that the pool was closed. I was looking forward to a swim after the 3 hr mule ride.
Good rate, but they dropped the ball on the continental breakfast. The front desk lady said they didn’t leave her the key to get the stuff (so call the manager in). Had to get breakfast elsewhere (Jody’s Cafe was excellent). Room was in need of minor cosmetic repairs. The heater/air conditioner didn’t have a temp setting that could be set to a particular temp. Kept having to adjust it. Also, the room was somewhat dark.
This place is not “quality” as the name implies. We have stayed at many quality inns and NONE of them have been like this. Dirty, floors are super angled like up and down, even in the rooms. We went to the “pool”. Tiny, 3-4 feet deep—the jacuzzi was cemented over with blue cement, looking trashy. And our towels we left out stayed on the chairs and were still there when we left the next day. Main trashes throughout the hotel outside and in were never taken out. On a positive note, the A/C worked well and the beds were pretty comfy. But this hotel is old, tired and needs some love. Would not recommend.
Not the nicest or cleanest Quality Inn we stayed at on our two week trip. That goes to the QI in Price, UT. Kanab gets a lot of hard use from tourists. Bathroom light switch was pushed into the box, had to leave the light on so it didn't shut off during use. Had a very used & abused feel. It seems some hotels give rewards members their crappiest rooms. Disappointing.
