Discovery Inn

I am very disappointed with Roger The manager at Discovery Inn. I called him directly to make a reservation and informed him I had 2 adults and 2 children in my party. He said that room rate would be $249. I mentioned to him that on booking.com it was quoted at $229 a night for a double queen room for 2 adults and 2 children. He said that rate on booking.com will prompt me to pay extra for the additional 2 children. I informed him I would make reservation online. I made the reservation on booking.com and price came out to be $229 a night with 2 adults and 2 children. I then received a call from Roger, saying he sees my reservation now and that he would need to collect the additional funds for the 2 children. I informed him that I have an email stating the number of occupants and price and wanted to send him email to show him, but he did not want to see email or remedy situation. I asked him to please contact booking.com to fix problem so future guest would not have same issue. He refused, he started to interrupt me while I was talking, would not listen to make situation better for future guest. He was rather rude. I told him, why not fix the problem, instead of trying to sweep it under the rug. Fix it so other guest would not experience same situation. He refused and basically hanged up on me. I’m encouraging every guest with families to book their reservations on booking.com. If you book it directly with hotel they will charge you for additional guest. Save money at site rather than have them charge you for additional guest. MESSAGE TO OWNER OF HOTEL. ROGER NEEDS TO BE EVALUATED. HE IS IN GUEST RELATIONS AND IS VERY RUDE. Also, owners of hotel....You need to remedy disconnect between booking.com and your hotel reservation system. You are losing money on one end of this disconnect by not charging additional guest up front at booking.com. This is a disconnect that Roger was to lazy to address or remedy with me or booking.com to fix.

An absolutely delightful inn. The owners were incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. It's a bit of a walk to the main area of Friday Harbor, but our party didn't mind the stroll. Would definitely recommend!

The rooms are clean and the management was very helpful and kind.nnMy cons are:n- Slow wifin- You can hear your neighbors. I stayed in a first floor room and I could hear when my neighbors got out of bed, when they got in bed, their conversations, when they used the bathroom, when they walked from one side of the room to the other (you get the point). I couldn’t sleep through the night, and for that I give this place 3 stars.

Beautiful place, most uncomfortable bed I have slept in years. Definitely do not recommend if you have any sort of back issues. You will NOT enjoy the bed.

Do not stay here the lady at the front desk is very rude and its a rip off hotel. Tiny rooms bad water!! They hand you bottle water at the desk for your coffee yet dont tell you not to drink the water out of the faucet.. my child drank out of the faucet and Became very ill. Ruined our entire trip! Tried to discuss the issue with the lady who lives on site. She is a very rude person. Not even an apology!!! No rating from me very poor recomentations!!]
