The owners were so sweet and friendly. When we walked in it was even better than I expected. The decor and ambiance was amazing. We loved our room and how spacious a d clean it was.nThe property is nicely kept and the views are spectacular. We enjoyed breakfast and loved socializing with the other guests....much better than a hotel. We will definitely be back

I stayed in the lower level suite. It is very secluded from the rest of the rooms but easily accessible from the exterior of the building. There is a slight threshold but is easily manageable for persons with disabilities or limited mobility. The two fireplaces are easily controlled from the rooms thermostat just like controlling the temperature in your home. The large jetted bathtub had one controller that didn't work but still managed to provide a relaxing experience. The owners are friendly and accessible and provided a beautiful and delicious breakfast in the morning. Breakfast can be scheduled as late as 10am. The place shows its age inside and out but in a charming way. It has a general feeling of visiting the grandparents for the weekends.

Toni and Martin are amazing, kind, warm and welcoming people. This was truly a one of a kind experience and when I left, I felt like part of the family, and I knew that I had made a lasting friendship. When we had record rainfall, I had a flood in my apartment that had me needing to find somewhere else to stay. Everything is back to normal now, but I ended up having to stay away for approximately 9 days and I spent that time at The Villa. As soon as I got there, not only was I impressed with this Italian style villa and the history, but with these two wonderful people. Every morning you will find a very pleasant Toni, graciously making her guest yet another interesting breakfast and tending to all of their needs. The breakfast was exceptional, and everyday that I was there, it was something different, not just the standard continental breakfast. Toni takes pride in running The Villa, and loves her home, and it shows. I took walks daily, down to the water, and to view all of the historical homes; it offers some of the loveliest scenery in Tacoma. I highly recommend a stay at The Villa. I know that I will be lifetime visitor. Thank you, Toni and Martin!

I can not give this a high enough rating. By far the best place we’ve ever stayed at! The owners are simply amazing! So delightful. We loved hearing the stories of the house’s history and taking to Martin was just a joy. These people truly care about their guests.nWe stayed in the Verona, which I highly recommend. Everything was beautiful, clean and welcoming. They thought of everything! From the verandas, living room and garden room space, piano your welcome to play to the towels, hair dryer, bath robes, complimentary candies, etc...just so well thought out and inviting.nBreakfast was soooooo yummy and the preparation and detail was superb. You can tell Toni loves to serve people and cook scrumptious foods.nWe felt welcomed and treated so well from the time we arrived, to the time we left.nWe most definitely plan on going back. If you’re trying to decide where to go for your get away, this is the place!

Stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. From the time we arrived, Martin and Toni made us feel welcome and were very accommodating, letting us know if we needed anything to not hesitate to ask. The home itself is so inviting and lovely. There are so many plants around the house and outside in the garden area, it doesn't feel like you're in Tacoma. The breakfast was so yummy and was different each morning. We loved sitting in the greenhouse area drinking coffee and eating Toni's delicious concoctions. We stayed in the Caserta, but were given a tour of the entire house. All of the rooms are unique and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Definitely plan on coming back again in the near future. 10/10 recommend!
