Pharmacist spreading misinformation on access to non-diabetic needles & syringes. I came in looking for syringes and needles for my prescribed medication. Pharmacist denied me on basis of federal law. When I stated its not federally illegal to sell needles and syringes without a specific needle and syringe prescription, he backtracked and stated its state laws. After searching online, I cannot find such laws and found the opposite that it is accessible. This is a dangerous spread of misinformation making it more difficult for people to access their needed supplies for medication. If it is CVS policy please state that so we can go elsewhere and get needed supplies. I ended up getting supplies elsewhere easily. I do not want to jump to conclusions that this was a personal denial based on transphobia but may be an influence in this situation if it is not CVS policy. But it is worsened by the continued use of the wrong pronouns even after explaining the medication and situation. Please educate yourself on the policy vs law in the area to ensure peoples access to supplies for their medication.
