An excellent getaway in a historical landmark, filled with early mining era architecture, Metaline Falls is a beautiful town with even more amazing locals who make you feel like there truly are good things and good people in this world. The hotel boasts several expertly decorated rooms with handcrafted quilts atop the most comfortable beds ever made, the antique decor completes the laid back atmosphere as you take a small step back in time to simpler days, don't let the small kitchenette or shared bathrooms detour you, the waters always hot, and the sitting room is a spacious place to kick back and read, watch TV, or plan out your day using the complimentary wifi for your grand adventures in Pend Oreille, there's plenty of nearby dining options, such as the cafe just a few doors down, or pop into the market within a minute walk to stock up for that big hike or just to pack a picnic to enjoy in the serene park with a visitor center detailing the towns history just across from the hotel - all with stunning views of the landscape around you. You couldn't ask for a better place to stop and take in the sights and sounds of nature. The owner, management, and staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and excellent at making your stay the most comfortable and relaxing experience. Stop and enjoy some hand dipped ice cream downstairs when you check in and explore a local art gallery located in the building just off to the side through the main entrance to the hotel or stop in off the main road entrance on your way back in from taking in all the town and surrounding nature has to offer.

Quaint turn of the century historic hotel with all the small town charm. Has a small ice cream cafe and gift shop, an art studio inhabits the back of the lower floor. Very nice and friendly staff. I would recommend staying here.

We dropped by here during our section hike of the PNT and met the incredibly warm and friendly owner on our way to lunch. She gave us the lowdown on the town, invited us to the hiker lounge and made our visit to Metaline Falls a pleasant experience. Definitely drop by and support this hiker-friendly establishment if you get the chance!

VERY nice staff! Great customer service is hard to find these days, not here though. Lots of history in the hotel. Clean and well kept. Will defiantly be staying here again. Pet friendly and easy going.
