This guy went out of his way to find parts I needed for my daughters 93 elf bmx bike so she could start racing. I wont go anywhere else. Great guy, great attitude. He was even able to do some maintenance on the bike.i highly recommend this shop!

We stumbled across Get a Bike on the internet while searching for bike shops in Bakersfield. I'm so glad we did! The notice on the door said 'By Appointment Only', but I tried the door anyway. I hollered inside and Fernando and Manny came out and welcomed us in the shop. We told them that we were new to biking and they asked us what type of riding we wanted to do before they gave their suggestions. The shop is clean and inviting and we never felt pressured...only more informed. A week later I found a great deal on a bike; Fernando and Manny did a pre-purchase inspection and told me what it needed. That knowledge helped me negotiate a better price and I was able to use Get a Bike to bring the bike up to speed. We then took my wife's bike in for a tune up and new chain. We've found a welcoming shop that educates and encourages. They are also very fair with pricing and have a wide selection of parts and accessories. Check them out!
