I stayed here over the summer and had a great time. The room had a nice view of the river and the chairs down below were placed right next to it that is very private. Right in the middle of downtown so driving is minimal and you can pretty walk to anywhere you need to go.
First time here. Pleasantly surprised, as suspected might be a bit rustic for us. No so.nNicely remodeled western-ish (?) decor, very clean, literally right on a river, great HVAC unit on 90° day. 5-7 min walk to furthest business.nnSuggestion: a more comfortable reading chair, w/higher wattage lamp.nnBTW H/T-Water System manager! Everyone in Winthrop seems to have best town/city water we've found in a **long** time. :
Super nice place to stay. Cool mountain air and amazing views from the balcony. Clean room and comfy beds. Staff was super friendly.

Incredible views by the river that were unobstructed. We sat on our deck and viewed eagles, deer, and water foul. The staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel is unpretentious and the rooms were very clean. They supplied excellent coffee, which is a sign that a hotel truly cares :-) You can walk to restaurants, walking paths, and close to some amazing hiking/biking trails. We look forward to sharing this gem with our family and friends.
