Had roof sprayed two months ago and can tell the difference on hot days as being cooler. Just started raining this week and so far no leaks! Thanks Rob, well done!

I'm in the process of closing on home that needs a respray of the top layer. Looking for another quote from the first company (one that actually confirmed and came out for inspection) AFE might do good work but between my realtor and myself calling on different occasions/multiple times to confirm a date of inspection (do you all like to make money as a company??) Only to be told a tech will call within 24hrs... yup still waiting days later after multiple calls.... Good luck getting an inspection scheduled

This review is long overdue. Our family has an Anshen and Allen designed Eichler, non atrium model. Original footprint of the house was about 1600 sq ft, with a tri-level flat roof. In the 1970s, the then owners added an additional 900 sq ft in additions, so the house/roof ended up being rather large for an Eichler (I think the roof surface is 3000+sq ft). The 1970s additions to the house are great on the ground, but made an already complicated roof absolutely nutty. There are five different levels, 4 flat and one sloped, that were patched together with no regard for drainage. To make it even more complicated, we have a rooftop package unit for central heat/air with a crazy maze of rooftop ducts. When we purchased our house a few years ago, it had a Duro-Last membrane roof that was only 12 years old, but already leaking constantly, despite proper maintenance. We had issues with huge pools of water after rain and some of our ducts were corroded/rusted through due to this. We also have five skylights, 2 of which were also leaking when we bought the house. Our ducts would also smell in the summer when they heated up, very metallic and noxious whenever we had the AC on.nnWe decided we needed to transition to foam in this setting. I had multiple companies come out to give quotes. Most were very apprehensive about the complexity of the job and quoted well above what we were planning on spending. One guy said we'd have to spend ~50-60K!!! Thankfully, I asked for a quote from AFE. They acknowledged the complexity of the roof and knew it would be tough, but were enthusiastic about tackling the job. The quote was reasonable and in our budget. They were also willing to fix the skylights for us.nnBobby and crew got us scheduled quickly. The tear off process was smooth, even though there were multiple layers of bitumen to scrape. They were able to fix the base layer of the roof for us and got started on the foam on the second day. Bobby was there to supervised the whole time and personally cleaned up with the blower every day. The process is a like well oiled machine and our roof took 5 days total. The guys took care of repainting our trim and were very responsive to my pickiness about little aesthetic issues.nnIn the ~year since, we have have been thrilled with our roof! Gone is the metallic smell from our now foam coated ducts. We never turn the AC on in the summer during the day and only use it for a few hours from 8-11pm in general. This is in Walnut Creek, with 100+ degree days regularly. In the winter, we are able to keep the house 2-3 degrees warmer for the same PG&E bill cost (we still don't have insulation in our side walls, so this is actually pretty impressive). The roof itself looks great, the skylights no longer leak, and the drainage is SO much better, with no major ponding. Bobby and crew have been super responsive when issues have come up (like when our arborist punctured our roof and we had a small leak or when we had to replace rusted ducts/re-coat them). They really stand behind their work, which is hard to find in a business.nnWe couldn't be happier with the finished product!

Great company to work with for roof replacement. Communication was great and Bobby helped get some extra things fixed ahead of time and even came back after to seal the roof when new vents went in. Will definitely work with again in the future.

Came out quickly, gave us extremely fair price and did the work super quickly! We are a construction company and will definitely be using them again in the near future! Thank you for everything!
