I spoke to a person on the phone before I arrived and asked if they could accommodate a 43’ motor home and if they had full hookups for a 50amp. They said yes.nI asked if they offered any type of discount. They said no. Nothing. Not AAA, not AARP, not Good Sams, not military, senior, nor any type of ADA discounts. Ok fine. We were all tired and ready to stop.nWe were charged for the space. And each person. (my husband, myself, my 80 yr old gma, my 4 yr old and my disabled mother.) the only one who didn’t get charged was my 2 year old daughter and my child in my womb. We were also charged for using a debit card, which I’ve found out since is actually illegal in most states.nArrived to the site and NO 50amp hookups.nnIt was quite beautiful though on a positive note. The sunset was breathtaking, the ducks and other fowl that landed on the lake kept my kids busy. There were no picnic tables or bbq pits.. we cooked our burgers in a pan on our stove.nI gave this place 2 stars because the woman was nice and the site was pretty, but this is definitely not a “resort”. Oh! And let’s not forget the very loud trains that roar by every 20 min - 1 hour.nAll.nNight.nLong.nWe just left West Glacier RV Park.. same price.. they had an amazing camp store, playground, laundry facilities, multiple bathhouses, outdoor games, vending, and FULL hookups that accommodated all sizes of rigs (that require 50amp hookups) and each site had a bbq pit, picnic table and fire pit.nThis place has potential, but far to go to be a “resort”. Beautiful grounds & lake, clean, green grass, trees, owls, blue herons, great white pelicans, full hookups on the lake and a very nice owner, Monica. The only drawback are trains running about every 30 minutes all night long. Ear plugs help. WiFi is $3 and spotty. Still worth a visit.
This place is beautiful. The owner keeps the campgrounds nice and clean. She let us pick our spot out of three different ones. Actually she was super nice and never harassed us once. We dropped the deck on our Toyhauler and enjoyed a nice sunset over the lake. The only drawback is the trains running all night. Most of the trains didn’t honk their horn but a couple of them blasted them enough to wake us up. Not a fan of the trains but the place itself was awesome.
Camped here last year lady charged for every single thing and the $10.00 for wood that only lasts a half-hour other than that good camping... stopped by there to do some fishing on my way how just today and she wanted to charge me for fishing when her resort is one of the worst places to catch trout
I wanted to like this place more than I did because I know this lake can be a great fishery. The campground was nice enough but fishing was poor when we were there (probably due to the algae bloom). If you're tent camping the freight trains that run all night can be a problem, even for a heavy sleeper. The owner is financially motivated to say the least, if I'm being honest she left my wife and kids feeling like we were being closely monitored which we didn't love. No major issues with her like others reported though. I wouldn't say that I'd never camp here again but I think this place is pretty low on the list of fun camping options for young families around here.
