Quoted one price, but they raised the price on me twice. They ended up taking apart part of the bike that had nothing to do with the repair, and broke it. They said they were investigating even though I said I didn't want anything else done. They said the bike couldn't be ridden and said I'd have to pay for them to fix it, but they told since they broke it without my permission they would do it for free if I told my friends, so here I am.nnAlso, right after I got it out of the shop I got a flat because they installed the tube wrong.
I called, they checked if it was in stock, told me the price... went down picked it up. no problems. Oakland #1
Seemed ok at first, but then had a limited amount of gear (locks, glasses), and attendees were very disengaged/unhelpful.

This is the dive bar of bike shops in Oakland. By that I mean it's small, precarious in location, and the employees look like they've seen (and experienced) a thing or two.nnI bought two new wheels and they also recommended to fix my bar tape and one of my brakes using a spare part they had. For the quality of work and attention to detail they have, i expected to pay at least $30 more than I did.nnI make the trip there for tubes and parts because they have the best prices and are the fastest. What else could you want from a bike shop?
