Haven't owned bikes in years but recently got 2 new e-bikes. The tires seemed flat and we stopped by Cycle Sports for the first time ever last Saturday to get help about proper tire pressure and possibly buying a pump. Robert helped us and he was GREAT - friendly, patient, answered all our questions and was very helpful showing us a few pumps they had for sale. We were very happy with Robert's help and bought one for $45. Although it occurred to us maybe searching and buying online might be less expensive, we wanted to support a local business/employing people in the area. BEST yet was that we later checked online and the price at Cycle Sports was actually the same or a few dollars less than on some online sites! Thanks Robert & Cycle Sports - we'll definitely keep you in mind when we need bike stuff or help with our bikes :)
So yesterday while hiking in the wee hours of the morning my new Petzl Reactik Headlamp stopped working only 3 hours into our climb. Great thing Cycle Sports Inc has a great return policy! Got me a replacement no questions asked...
They are always helpful and patient. Good shop.
Very knowledgeable and patient with me when I can't make up my mind. The staff is very helpful and chill.
Where do I start? Customer service? None! I regret buying my first bike here, spent over $600 at this regrettable shop who unfortunately have people that do not care for customers one bit. As I rode my bike around lake merrit, I ended up with a flat tire so I decided to bring the bike in for a new tube, I made the mistake of choosing this shop, here’s what happened; they obviously have a “mechanic” Who is careless and forgot somehow to set my back wheel right, I was charged $19.79 for a new tube, which is fine I guess... the main problem here is that when I got back on my bike, I barely made it to the corner of 7/11 and the back wheel came right off, luckily I was not hurt.... so naturally I had to return and all they said was “will double check that” not even an apology for their mediocre job. Later at home I noticed the back tire was deflating and by the next morning I was dealing with a completely flat tire still.... called them and explained the situation, then they said just to bring it back again, so I did, brought it back, explain again what had happened and all they said was, “let me ask my mechanic” so I waited about one hour just for their mechanic to get loud with me and told me I just simply needed to purchase new tires! Wow! Even though he knew I did not needed new tires, he would not accept the fact that they sold me a DEFECTIVE tube, and would not honor a good one even when I was charged $19.79 he said in a disrespectful manner “ buy a new tire today or i will not install it for free twice” seriously? He wanted me to spend over $100 for two tires I did not need.... and free service!? I never asked for “free” service.... just wanted them to replace the defective tube they sold me. Not to mention that he also said “ there is something wrong with your tire” “ I just can’t find what it is” really???? There is absolutely nothing wrong with my tire brother, I ended up buying a new tube elsewhere and now it’s totally fine, it’s just you can’t do your job responsibly and you’re inaccurate.... so save yourself the trouble of spending your hard earned money here where it is not appropriate it.... either do it yourself or go somewhere else..... it is very sad people like these have customers.
