I bought a commuter bike at Lulu’s 9 months ago and love it! They helped me pick out the right bike for my needs, gave me a fair price, and the bike’s condition has remained great throughout a lot of use. I had to bring it back in recently because the brakes were wearing out and the team fixed them up right away. Highly recommend Lulu’s!
Great place, Great prices. The bike was set up perfectly. They had lots of affordable bikes there for all budgets. I am pretty psyched on the geometry of the bike I got which they picked for me. The KHS urban bike was spot on. This speaks to years of ecperience connecting bikes to people. In and out in no time with some laughs in between.
I bought a price point bike on Amazon, and I stopped at Alameda Bicycle on Park Blvd. The guys were hanging around, making judgmental comments about my 'mail order' bike, and trying to upsell a derailleur adjustment. I could schedule a repair a week out. Other bike shops didn't open until 11 so I went to Lulu's. Had fond memories of the place from when they used to rent bikes. Mike was immediately helpful and genuine. I wanted to learn how to do the adjustment myself. Some bike shops want to gouge you, or are snooty. Not Lulu's. Great experience and a local business doing honest work.
The bike I rented was great! I rented it to go up to Tahoe and bike around the lake. It was super light and smooth. Now I am thinking of buying one just like it.
Found everything I needed for less than I pay at other bike shops, friendly staff and open during covid
