I go to CVS in McLean sometimes. I try to avoid the pharmacy because all of the queues are often long, you wait in one line only to be sent to the *back*nof another line once you get to the front (you need nasal decongestant, good luck guessing which line is the right one), there aren’t enough staff to answer phone calls and deal with live customers, etc. Setting aside the understaffed pharmacy, the prices for over-the-counter products are very good and often include a CVS brand generic that’s even cheaper. The basic prices for everything else are higher than the Giant grocery store next door, unless CVS is having a special; anything on sale at CVS is probably a good price. For prescriptions, Medicine Chest is around the corner, super helpful, and cheaper.

CVS's are bad, but this one is particularly bad. My grandma once went there 3 times in 2 days to pick up prescription medication and still came back empty-handed after being told different things each time. How can this be the 5th most profitable company in America on the 2020 Fortune 500 with their 2 star reviews?

Despite all of the horrible reviews of the pharmacy (yes, I checked, double checked, and triple checked they got it right), it was an okay pharmacy experience. However...nnI couldn't find something and decided to ask an employee. I saw someone in a CVS polo from behind and asked him if he could help. He turned to face me and was wearing sunglasses. At 9:45pm. He was also wearing his mask around his chin. I backed away slowly and told him basically to never mind.nnJust. Weird.

I've tried to come during off hours to try to avoid standing in a long line. Doesn't help. Understaffed. Please add staff.
