Eighth Pole Inn is truly a haven in Lexington and a peaceful, relaxing place to hang your hat while staying. My husband and I stayed for the weekend and were treated as family, not only by Jason and the team but by other guests who frequent the Inn as well. It is quiet and secluded and a lovely getaway, and has easy access to the airport and racing and Lexington. Breakfast was incredible and made to order. Our room was cozy and inviting. While we did not have the opportunity to fully utilize the common areas of the house, all were kept clean and attractive. The horses are all so fun to watch, especially the foal. We cannot wait to return to Lexington again and stay at the Eighth Pole Inn!

Eighth Pole is a wonderful house and estate. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and very much enjoyed our time. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the owner Jason is truly a perfect host. I would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

Jason is an incredible host. In summer 2016 (sorry we're late) we had the place all to ourselves plus that funny ol' lady dog that came with the place. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The Inn is stylish and there are so many places to just hang out and relax. And, well, breakfast was fantastic, too. We really look forward to returning!

We've traveled quite a bit, and this was one of the best places we've ever stayed on a vacation. Jason Sciortino, the B&B owner also manages the operations of the thoroughbred farm there that's part of Fort Springs Racing. This gorgeous house was completely redone by Jason and the interior designer he worked with from Toronto named Barbara Purdy. You can see pictures of her incredible work (including from the Inn) at barbarapurdydesign.com.nnWe hadn't been to Kentucky before, but we went to see if it's a place we'd like to retire. Jason said the design of the place is quintessential Kentucky -- as this was our first visit, I don't know about that, but I can tell you that it made us want to move there if we could find a place just like this one!nnIt's spotlessly clean, meticulously appointed, with lots of space for all the guests throughout the common spaces even if all the bedrooms are full. There were many comfortable lounge areas inside and outside of the house. We enjoyed bringing back our own picnic-style dinners with wine each evening of our four-night stay and tried out several different spots to watch tv or just enjoy the view.nnWe weren't able to get a king-size bed because we booked too late, but the Paddock room (queen-size bed) was delightful: there was plenty of room for two suitcases, and it had cable tv, comfortable bed, toiletries provided, and soft, large white towels.nnEveryone who worked there was gracious. Erin and Alyssa cooked made to order breakfasts (including incorporating shrimp (that we'd intended for dinner but hadn't eaten) in omelettes with basil fresh from the garden.) Alex, who helps with the horses, was very kind. We didn't meet the person who cleans the rooms and the house, but it was spotless every day. Jason answered lots of questions for us about racing, raising the horses, living in Kentucky, and taking care of such a place. He's a patient man who really cares about his employees, his horses, his family and friends, and the house.nnIt was easy to visit the horses on short walks around the property, but they were also brought up to the barn each morning for several hours to stay in the stalls. Metamora Gemologist - Par (a little over two years old, I think) and Jason's four-month-old filly out of Seasonal were my favorites. Metamora was just a sweet, friendly horse and the young filly is awfully awkward now but she looks like she's going to grow up to be a beauty.nnIt was also perfectly located for us to visit Williamstown, Berea, Midway, Frankfort, Georgetown as well as Lexington. We felt that all drives from the Inn to any of these spots were reasonable.nnI HIGHLY recommend the Eighth Pole Inn,. We will definitely stay there if we return to the Lexington area.
