Grand Aleutian Hotel

Run down hotel needing some TLC, room being “cleaned” after we checked in at 4pm, front desk lady has a RBF and attitude to match, no soap in room except the shower wall, long hair on 3 of 6 pillows in room (not ours), bedspreads from the 1980’s, beds as hard as cement blocks. It’s needs a good cleaning and a remodel. Glad it’s only one night until the VRBO is ready and my employer paid the outrageous rate instead of me. Go anywhere else.

I am staying at the Harbor View Inn and I just wanted to give a shout out to Jennifer at the Grand, and all the other staff members. They have been extremely accommodating during these unprecedented times and I very much appreciate their service!

Best hotel in town. There's only two so not saying much. The restaurant is awesome though. Crab legs Benedict in the morning with a bloody mary really nurses away any hangover. In the night time the upstairs restaurant has as an upscale vibe and the food to match

Please, stay away from this place.nn- The rooms are not clean. The heaters do not work and I found dipping sauces and food crammed in them.nn- They offer a phone service but do not state the charged amount when using it. They will say there’s info when there is not.nn- The towels had a funky odor to them; glad I brought my own. Half used toilet paper roles were still left in from the previous renter. Rust and black mold is extremely visible. Giant hole in the wall door.nn- The only upside was the first encounter with the staff, as they are very friendly. However the communication in the fine print you are signing is not thorough. However, it is not there fault the Manager, Brett Richardson does not cite the paperwork he will have a renter sign correctly including the charges placed on a renter. I tried discussing a specific issue with him, and he irresponsibly hung up out of frustration rather than maintain a professional composure. I’ve tried calling him back, but I believe he has blocked my number. I feel bad for anyone might have to deal with anything similar in the future.nn- Brett (Manager) a bit too concerned with my personal whereabouts in Dutch Harbor and seemed to be personally attacked when I mentioned all the information he needed was already in his Hotel’s system. This includes my Covid Test I provided to stay there.nn- On that note, they are quarantining many renters (potentially sick) with Covid and considering how poorly handled the rooms were, I would advise anyone to avoid this location and Harbor View Inn. He willnLikely push the blame on his employees when he is the one truly at fault here.nnBesides that, I suggest getting an AirBnB instead. There are plenty of small business’s who could use the attention instead!nnCheers! ud83cudf7b

Nice hotel. Don’t come here thinking your in some big city with all the available amenities. They have good food and drinks and comfortable rooms.
