All cops can be difficult to deal with at times. Whenever I think of JPD, I am reminded of one 4th of July when I was pushing my friend's daughter with another friend. We were downtown, and there was a lot of traffic. The cars would not stop for us at the crosswalk. This JPD officer saw this going on, got a frustrated look in his eye, stuck his arm up in the 'STOP' motion, and stepped into the traffic to stop them, risking his safety. He could have jumped away if the cars didn't stop (and I would have felt sorry for those drivers...). The cars stopped and we got to cross. It was a simple gesture that I will never forget. It was true public service, and it was bad ass.
