South Fork Lodge and Outfitters

Our outing in August 2020 was Outstanding... Spending a day on the Snake River Fly Fishing and taking in Nature. Our Guide/Outfitter, Justin Adams, was excellent... He started with a quick fly fishing refresher when we first put the boat in the water... He had a very good teaching style and consistent terminology to help us get the most out of our trip.nnHe is also an extremely intense fisherman and outdoor enthusiast... Ask him about night fishing for Browns with Mice Flys... He pointed out many of the Natural Features of fresh springs coming into the Canyon along with Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles and Osprey... He would also stop for short periods and let us take in the Beauty of the Snake.nnJustin was very knowledgeable about the Eco-System... We hooked and landed several fish... Including a Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout... We would highly recommend South Fork Outfitters and Justin Adams.

Re: Restaurant: Might have been good 10 mo- 2 yes ago, not now! Drove through downpour to have a special birthday dinner, reservation for 5:30-6. Arrived 5:45, seated w water poured.Menu offerings were ridiculously poor for $65 per person! Waitress amended price to $45 as it was a Thursday. Offerings were set, 2 salads, one was basically a lettuce with cheese and lemon juice! 3 entrees- ham stew, summer squash or burger! Desserts were ? with ice cream or ice cream alone!! Pathetic! We left and went into IF for a really nice dinner at Jakers for a fraction of South Fork price! Huge disappointment and a waste of time!
