Super 8 by Wyndham Albuquerque West/Coors Blvd

Pet friendly, only $10 extra per pet. Room was fairly clean and didn't smell but the carpet had pet light stains. Short staffed during check-in. Took awhile to get through the line, but very friendly. This hotel puts a $100 damage deposit hold on your credit card that (in my case) will take 2 days to refund back to my card. No big deal, but be aware. We would stay again.

The lady at the front desk was fabulous and very friendly. She made us feel welcome. The room was a little dated in that the bathroom door needed repair, the TV cabinet from the old TV was still there moved over a little to make room for the larger big screen TV on the wall. That made the room a little cramped with the table and chair there. The chair was so small I couldn't sit all the way back in it. We only spent one night. Good shower, comfortable bed, clean and quiet. The price was right.

Stay away from this area. We arrived late evening on a Saturday night and 5 cops were inside the building and specifically told my wife you do not want to stay in this area. The hotel overbooked and had no rooms, which means our reservation from weeks ago did not mean anything. The receptionist at the desk was very rude to my wife. My wife asked the cops where is a good place to stay and they told us about 45 mins west is a small town with hotels off I40 in the direction we were heading toward Arizona. When the cops tell you that you do not want to stay in this area, because of how bad it is, you get back in your vehicle and drive farther away.

This isn't necessarily the hotels fault, however any hotel in this area has been over run with homeless people. And then you have customers that feel bad and let the homeless inside. Im not saying that's wrong. Just saying if you stay in this hotel you will see a very high homeless population and deal with everything that comes from that. Lot of drug use, but I will say they were very polite and didn't steal anything.

They were very busy because of the back up on I-40 and I was able to get a room without a reservation. They were very friendly and helpful.
