Fantastic B&B! Quaint, clean, comfortable, and centrally located. No real need for a car. Rent a scooter, threewheel scooter or bike if you want to travel a little further out. Wonderful freshly made French pastries and homemade parfait with fruit brought to your door every morning. Highly recommend their restaurant too! It's pricey, but for a well prepared meal by a French chef, it is worth the splurge. Don't forget your business casual clothes if you want to get into the restaurant. All in all, an excellent place to stay and dine!
I literally just got back to my hotel and I hopped on here to write this in my state of pure delirious happiness from the amazing food- so you know this is something special.nBasically, GO HERE! Jessica is an amazing chef! We had Max as our director basically the entire evening and he helped us pick the perfect dishes and wine!nEvery single dish will have you swooning. The tomato puff pastry appetizer was the best start and the soufflé was the perfect finish to our food journey here. The wine list is extensive. The french martini is amazing! We spent two hours here and never felt rushed. In fact, the last sentence Max said at 10:30 pm before giving we asked for our check was- you sure I can’t tempt you with anything else?nNeedless to say, they have gained our support and love and we will be coming here every chance we get!nThank you Bouchard for making my fiancé’s birthday an amazing one!nWe will be back. ♥ufe0f
Experience is simply amazing! The waiter was extremely attentive and helpful, even going as far to offer his advice on what he thought about each dish. Food was incredible and certainly exceeded expectations. A+.
The food, the ambiance, the service, all 5 stars! The tomato and goat cheese puff pastry to start was light, airy, and delightful. I enjoyed the cod from the specials, yum! My husband ordered the filet, and said it was the best that he ever had. He also enjoyed a Manhattan with dinner, which he said was perfect. The crowning glory was the dessert. I had to have the creme brulee, my absolute favorite, and I have had many a creme brulee...simply delicious in every way! My husband enjoyed every bite of his chocolate mousse, well, not every bite because I had to sneak one...wow! They even took the time to write happy anniversary on our dessert plates, and gave us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate. Our waiter was so courteous, kind, and he let us take our time to enjoy every bite. The service was impeccable! A very special anniversary indeed. Thank you for a memorable night.
We decided to stay a night in Newport on our way back from the Vineyard. We have been to Newport before but never stayed at the Bouchard. We spoke with Carmen on the phone and if any of you out there read some of the reviews, you will see that Carmen is quite popular. And most deservedly so. She helped us with my reservation after I screwed it up online and also managed to get us an early check-in the following morning once we arrived. I won't provide details, suffice it to say she went above and beyond. She also secured us reservations for the fine dining restaurant downstairs for tonight and has called us to make sure we are good with the times.nnThe Inn itself is beautifully kept. Very charming and close to all the downtown activity. Carmen not only checked us in, but gave us a personal tour of the premises and of our room. The bed is firm and comfortable (we have a king), the room is very clean and they seem to have thought of the little things for the bathroom according to my wife. Lol. Parking is free.nnThe service here is outstanding and I know we will regret only being able to stay one night. I guess we will have to come back again.....
