A nice stay at this centrally located hostel. All areas clean and well-maintained. Not the party central type of hostel. Nice low-key relaxing place to stay. Owner and manager are lovely and happy to answer any questions. Everything is labeled so it is easy to find stuff and to know how things work. 24 hour access is very convenient once you are checked in. A couple of quibbles. The steps up into the home are very steep and narrow, so just keep that in mind when bringing in your luggage. I would have preferred to have a table that was clearly designated as a place to sit and eat at. I will definitely stay here again in the future.
The staff is great. Very comfortable and clean...you can't beat the location. Right in downtown Newport a few feet from Thames St. Highly recommend.
Fabulous hostel -- such a sweet host, cold breakfast food included. It's like staying at your aunt's house. Excellent value, and right on the strip by all the shops and a fee steps from the beach. Highly recommended.
Location is perfect for shops and restaurants along the wharf. I wouldn't say it's within walking to the beach tho. Merrilee, the owner, was super welcoming. Stairs to get inside are STEEP! Room was clean and comfortable.
Very unique, homely hostel! Merilee was a great host and really makes everyone feel welcome. 10/10!
