Aaron House of Niagara Falls

MUST VISIT!! Stayed here one night with a friend. Such an interesting (in a good way) house to stay in. Katherine has a real eye for detail and the renovations are looking really good. The building has so much character and history to it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if visiting Niagara.

Search elsewhere!!! Pay the extra money and book another property or hotel. If there is a response to this review by the owner DO NOT believe them. Read the negative reviews and everything will make sense because other have had the exact same issues in the past.nnI searched VRBO first to find a property for us to stay at in Niagara Falls. I found the Aaron House three days before our last minute trip as it seemed fitting for our short stay. Even though it looked old and ran down it was close to the Falls and I figured supporting a starving business may help them with repairs on the poor looking property. I contacted the owner to see if a late check in on a Friday would be okay because we were traveling and wouldn’t arrive until about 12am. She was all about it, professional and kind... until I found the property much cheaper on Booking.com site. I booked the minimum 2 nights through the Booking.com site then received emails saying if we’re going to check in past 9pm there would be a $50 CASH charge to give to their “person staying after 9pm”. Seemed very scammy and unprofessional because this was stated nowhere on VRBO or Booking while searching the sites posting as well as contradicting what she originally had told me. We decided to just show up on Saturday during regular check in hours since she wouldn’t even grant an early check in for us on Saturday. I communicated this through email on Friday afternoon. Even though we paid in full for Friday and Saturday, they just cancelled our entire reservation and we were out all the costs. She stated to Booking that we didn’t show on Friday and spitefully cancelled our stay even after communication telling them we would just arrive on Saturday due to us not being able to make it on the first night and not wanting to pay the $50 “late check in”. She also stated in an email that a late check in was “a privilege”. When I corrected her and stated it’s not called a privilege but rather an accommodation for her guests, I never heard from her again. Clearly that struck a cord and she turned spiteful.nnYes, I did try to cancel after the unprofessional and scammy behavior became uncomfortable. Yes I did bring up COVID as a reason to cancel because the day after we booked NY wasn’t supposed to have people from out of state without quarantining. This property clearly doesn’t care about safety, federal guidelines or their guests travel restrictions/delays. This is a red flag for anyone concerned about the spread of COVID. Clearly this property needs help not only with the condition of the dilapidated structure but with customer service as well.

This place is pretty near to the falls. There are many restaurants and shops near by and lots of Indian restaurants in the surrounding! Sound of the falls can be heard in case the windows are open, lovely neighborhood and is safe. Found an interesting store near by which sells artistic items and unique items

Katherine is absolutely amazing!! She is so friendly & helpful. The rooms are very clean and organized. Make sure to purchase breakfast as there are plenty of hot foods and drinks to choose from. It is THE best place to stay in Niagara Falls NY!! HIGHLY recommend! :)
