This is a low key place, across the road from the main hotel. It costs much less, but you are still considered a resort guest. It is not crowded at all. The front door faces the woods. All rooms are entered from the outside. There is no indoor hallway. Our room has a refrigerator but no freezer. We used the natural freezer on our balcony and it worked out fine. We have a carpeted, covered balcony with a small table and chairs. It has a view of the mountains and the big hotel. Our room was excruciatingly hot. We called the front desk and someone came right away at night and fixed it. The main hotel is much more luxurious but we get resort guest rates for activities and we are paying less than half the price. We would stay here again.
The rooms at the Lodge at Bretton Woods is not the same building as the OMNI Mt Washington. You have access to the main building which is good but The Lodge is the worst place I’ve stayed in a long time. No coffee, no real amenities. Be careful when booking so you know what you’re getting. Not worth the price at all.
The entire booking is deceptive. The Lodge is worse than an interstate motel with yard sale furniture. When booking through the Omni site, I was told it was part of the amazing Omni Mount Washington and there was direct access to the slopes. Both are untrue. The price is more than many 4 star hotels with the quality of a one star at that. No coffee, heater broken, minimal towels. No one ever claimed who the owner is and how to contact them.
I really enjoyed staying here, it was perfect. Nice and clean
We stayed here this past weekend. We actually stayed at the Omni Resort a Month ago, so are able to compare the two. First off, the price of the room at the Lodge is obviously better if you are looking to save money. You have full access to the Resort amenities so we felt we didn’t need to splurge again on the resort room (although worth it to go once). The room is fine, it’s a hotel room. Bathroom was outdated and shower curtain was totally nasty. But otherwise the room served its purpose. The biggest issue is there are NO guest services over here. Upon check in there is no where to check in. There is a closed main office with a sign that says “check in at main lobby” If you had no idea the resort and lodge were affiliated you may not know that it means to go across the street and check in at the resort. We actually had to direct people from our balcony on where to go. Maybe better signage if your check in is closed? The lodge is like the forgotten property.. there is no one here. Need to reach the front desk? The front desk and guest services lines have been disconnected when you call from the phone in the room. Need a towel or some toilet paper? Good luck cuz you ain’t finding some or getting ahold of anyone to get you any. Need ice or cups? There aren’t any. Upon check out we didn’t actually know if we needed to go back to the resort to return our keys. So we called the resort line, get someone in reservations who transfers us to the operator who then transfers us to the resort front desk and they don’t even know what we’re supposed to be doing over at the lodge. Not sure if it’s COVID related but I expected better from Omni.nTo make a long story short if you’re looking to save some money, but still get a nice view, this is the place. But don’t expect anything else and any service whatsoever.
