Holiday Inn Flint - Grand Blanc Area

The staff really nice! How changed rooms 2 times first room mirrors not cleaned 2 room heat did not work the final room was better but clean staff left a open bar of soap in shower and the restroom floor wasn't sweep.... gotta do better

I have to give a one star to Holiday Inn (Gateway Drive) Flint MI. I booked a king size room for yesterday (4/8/21), so I could get away from home for some peace and quiet. I drove over an hour one way and arrived way earlier that most people checking in (was there like 5:45 pm). Then, about 10pm all kinds of people started pouring into the 3rd floor outside of my room, and they were loud and rowdy, all the way into the 11p hour. The kept going in and out of there rooms, and they just let the door slam (instead of shutting in quietly), and this was still going on when I finally packed up around 11 30pm to head downstairs to the counter to check out. I told the guy working the desk, and he mentioned possibly moving to another room, but by then i was way frustrated and already packed and ready to head back home. Management should check the stats on who is in what rooms when they are check people into the evening hours, and they could see that there is a single person in my room, who is alone and probably wanting peace and quiet, and so management should place roudy groups of of people farther away or on another floor.

Booked a room here for a concert, concert was cancelled 1 day prior to our stay, requested to cancel the room and manager stated they wouldn’t refund our money. After calling Priceline they stated they would refund me after they called the manager to okay it and the manager refused AGAIN. We decided to stay anyway and what a mistake that was. The young man we spoke to upon arrival was great, the staff that took over after however (an older lady and a middle aged male) didn’t seem to care about guest hospitality or making guests happy. Another hotel guest was complaining because they’re toilet was broke and they had been waiting 2 hours to get into a room. When we called on the way down the manager stated the pool and whirlpool were working and open. When we went down at 8pm to use these amenities the whirlpool was full of what looked to be gray water and was freezing and the pool was full of screaming kids that had been in there since we arrived at 1pm. Supposedly capacity was 15 people but there were much more than 15 screaming kids alone in the pool. The shower in our room is disgusting, there’s no microwave, the staff are unpleasant to deal with and when I brought up our issues the male and elderly female at the front desk gave me a shrug, played stupid and disregarded my complaint. We will not be coming back and I’ll be disputing this charge with my bank because I wouldn’t give $10 to stay here again. Long story short I’d have rather spent the weekend in the county jail down here.

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff at front desk was not wearing any mask, there was hair on the towels in the bathroom, there was commotion with police and ambulance outside our room, the TV and channels were WAY outdated, and when I asked for a partial refund due to this I was denied. I could have stayed at the Marriott and been comfortable and watched modern television.

Stay here for work. Bet nice place. Great room’s and restaurant inside the hotel. Indoor pool too
