The owners are super friendly and welcoming. We stayed for a few nights in 2019 and the location is perfect. So close to highways, other cute towns, two major lakes. Also it’s the perfect spot for winter skiing, snowmobiling and in the spring, summer and fall they have a walking trail next to their motel and the lakes for water sports. If you’re near Indian River and need a place, definitely check them out. They have upgraded quite a few areas as well.
The Waterway Inn is for sure our home away from home. We have come here for 20+ years and for sure Chris and Jess are the best owners of all. They have worked hard to update and clean - we even stayed in July of 2020 with no worries. Very family friendly and within walking/biking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants . Best of all, they are near Burt Lake and the beautiful Cross In the Woods as well as short drive to the Mackinaw Bridge! Looking forward to our annual vacation in July of 2021!

Last minute stay because of the snow. And it was such a cute little place. Owner was super personalable and their soaps and such were vegan and natural! Good for the price
Great small hotel Stayed the weekend to go snowmobiling the owners were gracious and extremely helpful when we ended up getting there very late Their location is perfect with direct access to multiple trails and lots of parking for trailers Thanks again!!
