Went to oak brook terrace store for first time at an REI store looking for hiking boots I had outgrown all of mine at the age of 67?! Went from size 9 to 11 fantastic selection at store and Joe and Michelle back in shoes were great I can honestly say it's been decades since I've had such knowledgeable help and advice for getting the right pair of boots 6 stars for Joe and Michelle will definitely b back and I live 120 miles away

My husband and I shopped here for the first time and loved our experience! Everyone was super helpful and polite, and my husband was obsessed with all of their camping/outdoor gear.nWe can not wait to go shopping here again!

I have shopped at REI for many years and never had an issue. Today I received such disrespectful service at their oak brook location. One staff member in particular treated me with such disrespect and had the biggest attitude towards me when I was asking questions. It caused me to turn around and walk right out of the store after having multiple hiking/camping items ready to purchase. I will never be shopping at this REI ever again. I will also be looking to go to REI competitors from here on out due to the disrespect their management clearly allows there staff to show towards there customers. If I could give Zero stars I would. Staff needs to be trained better in customer service and respect as a human being.

First and last time visiting, they made me feel like they didn't want me there. Staff reluctantly answered questions when I approached them, and quickly dismissed me like they were too good to help me. They were helping other people, but seemed to avoid me. Perhaps it's because of the way I look, I'm not sure, but I will never be going back.

I have been an REI member for over 25 years and it's totally worth the perks! They stand behind their name on all products. Oak Brook store staff are friendly and helpful. You can trust their specialists for bike tuning, ski maintenance, and camping gear suggestions. Great company!
