Down home hospitality in Sparta IL. Restored Victorian charm, comfy beds and cooked to order breakfast all made more charming by the attentiveness and friendliness of Julia and George. Enjoyed walking in downtown Sparta and hiking in Pyramid state park
Staying at the Orchid House was like staying at your well-to-do grandma’s house. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
I had the worst experience. I was out of state working and she took advantage of that .You only get a room not the whole place. She bad mouthed the people that pay to stay there and threatened to kick me out with no refund. She told me about her political views and argued with me. I think it was unprofessional. I left early and she did not give me my money back.
Very quaint B&B. They make you feel like you are at home. They have wonderful food.
