My husband and were traveling for a somewhat distressing purpose and the Train Inn gave us the recharge that was needed to take on the day. It was the perfect alternative to a generic hotel, at a better rate! The space is very warm, inviting and very comfortable. It is also filled with history. The guest host Marion was magnificent! She was friendly and a joy to talk to. The breakfast was fantastic! Best lodging breakfast I’ve ever had. The blueberry pancakes were seriously the best I’ve ever had. She even made me German style soft boiled eggs, which were wonderful! Marion was not only a pleasure to talk to, but she gave us lots of privacy as well. Highly recommend the Train Inn for any type of travel.
My daughter and I are looking at colleges and Southern Il seems like a good place, we saw the train-inn looks like it is on campus but it is not so we decided to stay 2 nights, Paul was real nice, great breakfast. I think my daughter wants to go to Southern Il. just because of this great bed and breakfast.
I am a repeated guest. It's just to nice and cozy to go anywhere else!. Best place I've ever lodged!!

Great location, convenient to SIU and downtown. Paul and Tracy are great hosts and very knowledgeable about all there is to do in the area. We stayed 3 nights and the accommodations are very comfortable, we will be back ud83dudc4dud83dude01
