Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Gatlinburg

Room #117. The most “basic” room I’ve ever stayed in in my 61 years. The best thing I can say is it was clean. If not for the fridge, micro, and flatscreen this room was straight out of the 1960’s. No coffeemaker, no clothes hangers...,not even a closet rod! No carpet anywhere! Only mirror was over the bathroom sink which was not even in a vanity cabinet! All bathroom fixtures were old ....from 1960’s, and resurfaced or painted. Shame on Wyndham for attaching its name to such a place! I won’t be back. Embarrassed

Coffee pot was dirty with coffee left in it... no table, room was dirty... didn’t have any coffee or cups. No phone in the room to co tact the office at all. Pretty run down and the pictures lie on line. Oh ya the first night there I woke up to a big water leak by the door.

The rooms were nice, clean, no carpet which I love. Only thing I didnt like was I booked two rooms and asked for them to be close together and they were not. I travel wit my teens so I need them close. Still giving 5 stars tho cuz my room and service was great otherwise.

To add to my review I forgot to mention how I was awoken....there was a gap underneath our door. Someone decided to stand outside pur door or walk by while.smoking a cigarette. For a non smoker that is one hell of a way to wake up. This hotel may be non smoking but definitely can not keep the smoke from coming in the rooms. Hotel needs a designated smoking area or better seals for the doors.

Great price, cozy lil' spot, great guest service. The bathroom door was sticking where we kinda felt locked in. But I saw the lady on the golf car and told her. She got the maintenance guy to look at it right away. We had fresh towels and turn down service by the time we arrived back after all day out on the beautiful town. I would definitely return ❤
