Sevier County Highway Department

Your roadside brush whackers leave much to be desired. I see places all over where limbs and brush are left much lower and farther out than around my road frontage. Anywhere else that doesn't get any attention by the owner is just trimmed a bit. I keep my area cut back, curried and looking good. They come along and seem to delight in butchering the place out of spite when it doesn't need anything. I think he's on meth, he has that look.

Sevier Co. Has the best Highway Department in the State of TN.

Wish that I could use negative stars they have the proper equipment just improperly used

They do not use signage for mowing on West Cummings Chapel Rd. The man who lives out there and works for County sits in his truck and waves people around. LAZY AND DANGEROUS!!! They leave the road a mess. Mower threw a huge rock (number 4 rock/ river rock) at our car!!!! Missed it by a foot. Tree branches all over the road, scratching peoples vehicles!!! When I called to report this, just now, the customer service representative (receptionist) would not let me finish speaking. She wouldn't take any information. She said she would report it. However I don't think she will. She didn't last time when a County Highway Department dump truck almost hit me head on on Jones Cove Rd. SCHD is the worse!!!! If it was a privately owned company doing things SCHD does the private company would be fined for leaving the road and work areas the way SCHD does. The private company would be fined for no signage. There are large rocks (river rock number 4) in the middle of the road right now on West Cummings Chapel Rd. If someone on a motorcycle or in any vehicle was to hit it they would wreck and tires would be popped as well!!! This department horrible and does not handle anything including complaints correctly!!! No wonder county gets sued!!! Look at how they do business and how they leave work areas.nnI am writing this review knowing that they will NOT TO A THING about this!!! They will not even acknowledge that this incident or others happened!!!

Refuse to offer solution for unmaintained gravel road that should have been adopted years ago. They only claim it is not their responsibility. Unfortunately the landlords are doing nothing and the residents cannot afford to. Elderly folk , children and handicapped live there They can't get mail delivery or trash service. Forget about high speed internet. So sad.
