This is very much a base bottom hotel. The bathroom door stuck and was very difficult to get into the bathroom. once you got it closed it was almost impossible to open. The service was less than desirable. We had a service dog and was told that there was a PET DEPOSIT, by the front desk staff. We were more than happy to pay the pet deposit for our service dog. We made sure there was absolute not so much as a drop of dog food on the floor when we left. This dog is completely trained and is vital to our daily lives. When we got home we had a $250 pet charge that the manager refused to refund. This is completely not what the front desk stated. If we had been properly informed we would have happily gone to one of the other 5 hotels at this exit. I can not even tell you how disappointment I am in the way the staff handled this situation and I highly suggest you try one of the other hotels at this exit. If I could give this location less than 1 star all the way around I most certainly would.nJust to clarify in the reply to this review the individual stated the dog was hidden in a towel, another example of the poor quality staff. The dog is a service dog and walked right up the stairs with us, no towel was used, no need. Poor staff as stared earlier.

Hampton Inns are always clean and well-maintainef. This one in Columbia was no exception. Staff was very helpful. The lady running the breakfast on Sunday morning was great. The morning staff was very understanding when I asked for a late check-out.

Always good to stay at a Hampton. They are the best...most consistent chain. Comfortable and pleasant!

Clean rooms and beds were comfortable with a good modified breakfast and friendly and polite staff that were great even when super busy with spring breakers passing through.

Really great staff behind the counter and super nice bed and pillows guarantee a good nights sleep. Hot breakfast also prepared by great crew.
