We had an absolutely great time staying at the bird’s nest at The Inn at Thistlewood. John is such a great host. The studio was very private and spacious! It was fully equipped and spotless clean. The interior design has a very nice cozy feel. The views are just amazing and the breakfast was delicious! We would definitely go back. Our overall experience was excellent.

John and Maria were friendly and informative since I am not from the area. The food was delicious, the room was cozy and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Will definitely stay again

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night before hiking Table Mountain Trail the following morning. Since the first email when I inquired about availability, John was responsive and accommodating the whole way. We stayed in the Bird's Nest, which is a studio on the second floor of a separate building. It was very clean and cozy. We got there late but where able to sit in the Adirondack chairs on the deck to catch the pink/purple hues of the sunset behind Table Mountain for a few minutes before night set in, and we enjoyed the ambiance set by the fireflies around us until we retired for the night. Because we had to leave early and miss the sit-down breakfast, John gave some options to have in our studio that we could take with us, and it was perfect. We had quality croissants, fruit, yogurt, etc. that was more than enough. We always look for quaint, well-run B&Bs when we travel, and this one definitely fits the bill. Thanks John!

Stayed at the Inn at Thistlewood Down for the fourth time this past weekend. Lovely as always! It's a beautiful setting, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast is amazing. A welcoming retreat and a perfect place to stay if you're visiting Furman University - a country retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our private accommodations in the Birds Nest. Everything was incredibly clean and modern. The breakfasts in the inn were awesome. The location was perfect because our event at Greenbrier Farms was just a few miles away.
